This is the Occupy Puppy!. He is has been living on the Occupy Las Vegas site for a few weeks now. He is a pit bull who was found wandering downtown. Every effort was made to locate his owners, but they could not be found. He is most likely a foreclosure pet - a pet that was left behind when his family lost their home. He is trained a little and knows commands like “sit”. He’s been to the vet and is healthy.
Most of all, he’s is an extremely lovable pet. He craves attention, and is happiest playing or cuddling with his head (and sometimes his whole big body) on someone’s lap.
While right now he has food and can sometimes share a tent with someone in the Occupy camp, he is in desperate need of a good home. It is getting colder every night, and he needs a stable home.
Ideally he would go with someone who has had large dogs before. He is still very young, and does sometimes jump up for attention and is very keen on chewing things right now. He is not violent at all. He is very smart and has obviously taken to training before. We would also want to make sure he will live either somewhere with a yard or near a dog park, as he is very energetic and loves to run around and play.
To ensure he will be well taken care of, we would like to have a home visit to make sure he’ll be going somewhere suitable. We can pick him up and take him to you for a visit with him as well to make sure the two of you get along.
If you would like to schedule a visit with him and get more information about adopting him, please email ginny@ginnymcqueen.com with the subject “Occupy Puppy”.
Thank you!
(PS- Feel free to change his name. He doesn’t answer to it right now. ^_^)
